DNW applies its Pressure Measurement System (PMS) to perform point measurements as well as surface measurements. PMS utilizes sensors in which a calibrated crystal reacts to the differences in pressure. High levels of accuracy are ensured by adjusting the results from the sensors with corrections for air pressure in the top and bottom of the tunnels.
DNW developed its PMS in close collaboration with Scanivalve, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pressure measurement systems. A strategic relationship with Scanivalve enables DNW to ensure its customers that its pressure measurements make use of state-of-the-art technology and comply with the latest standards.
Thanks to its advanced processing systems, DNW is able to add a large amount of statistical data to its measurement results. This following statistical quantities are available for a given time interval:
- Average
- Minimum value
- Maximum value
- Root mean square
- Standard deviation
- Average without outliers
- Last sample (A/D)
- Number of overloads
The software for generating the statistics was developed specifically for DNW. Customization to its measurement techniques ensures extremely high levels of reliability in high data volumes, placing DNW in a unique position to perform up to 1,200 measurements per model.
