DNW uses a selection of simulation techniques that allow a wide range of meticulous, high-precision tests in its tunnels.
Simulation techniques currently used include:
In addition to performing testing programs, DNW can advise its
customers in the techniques and models that are most suitable for a
particular type of test. DNW’s advice is based on its years of
experience in performing a wide range of tests in its wind tunnels. Its
advice therefore combines an analysis of requirements with the most
suitable simulation and measurement techniques, as well as the features
of the tunnel to be used for the tests.
Thanks to its close cooperation with its parent organizations NLR
and DLR, DNW can also arrange model construction, or adjustments and
repairs of models while a testing program is in progress.
