The DNW50 event was held at the Low-Speed Wind Tunnel (LLF) location in Marknesse, where industry professionals and stakeholders gathered to reflect on DNW's journey and look towards the future. Keynote presentations from the founding organisations DLR and NLR, as well as notable clients like Airbus Operations, Rolls-Royce, Embraer and Airbus Defence and Space provided valuable insights into five decades of aerospace research and collaboration.
To mark this occasion, a book on 50 years of DNW was written and presented to the founding organisations, DLR and NLR, serving as a testament to DNW's enduring legacy and contributions to the field.

Mrs. Tineke van der Veen of NLR, Mr. Markus Fischer of DLR, the King's Commissioner of the Province Flevoland Mr. Arjen Gerritsen, Mr. Paul White of Airbus Operations, Mr. John Bolger of Rolls-Royce, Mr. Frederico Simões of Embraer and Mr. Olaf Heinzinger of Airbus Defence and Space for sharing their retrospective, actual and future analyses of the role of DNW and making this day truly special. DNW also thanks Mr. Bram Elsenaar for his enlightening keynote on the history and founding of DNW, which provided a profound perspective on the organisation's roots and evolution. All the speakers’ contributions have made the celebration of DNW's 50th anniversary a memorable and inspiring experience.
