In the framework of a Dutch trade mission under the ministerial responsibility of the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade Mw. Ploumen to China a high level visit to the Beijing Aerodynamic Science and Technology Institute of COMAC was paid by DNW.
Together with its partners from the Dutch research and technology in aeronautics community, the TU Delft Faculty of Aerospace technology and the NLR, DNW exchanged a signed copy of a MoU specifying joint research activities with BASTRI in a festive ceremony. Furthermore, the trade mission visit was used to festively kick off the first research project covered by the above MoU. This research project, where the TU Delft takes the lead and DNW will contribute on the Dutch side, will deal with the issue of cross flow instabilities and their control on a swept wing configuration. The outcome of this specific project is expected to be a design of a large scale experiment for the specific conditions of the DNW-LLF, where an order of magnitude larger Reynolds numbers can be realized than in the university laboratory.
The photo is from the signing ceremony, the statements of the Minister, the President of BASTRI and of the Director of DNW are included.
